What Is an Attendance Register Generator?
An attendance register is the monthly sheet teachers use to record who came to class each day. This generator builds one for you: choose the class and month, enter the student names, and it creates a table with one row per student and one column for every day of the month, plus a “Total Present” column at the end.
How to Use It — Step by Step
- Choose the class, month and year.
- Enter the number of students (up to 40) and their names, one per line.
- Press Generate Attendance Register.
- Press Print Register to print it or save it as a PDF, then mark P for present and A for absent each day.
Worked Example
For Class 5, October 2026, with 10 students, the register has 31 day columns (October has 31 days), Sundays shaded, and a “Total Present” column. At the end of the month, count the P marks in each row to get each student’s total attendance.
FAQs
How many days does the register show?
Exactly the number of days in the month you choose — 28, 29, 30 or 31, including February in leap years. Sundays are shaded so weekly holidays are easy to spot.
What if I enter fewer names than the number of students?
The missing rows are filled in automatically as “Student 1”, “Student 2” and so on. You can write the real names on the printed sheet.
Can I use this for more than 40 students?
One register covers up to 40 students. For a larger class, generate a second register and continue the roll numbers by hand on the printed sheet.
