What Is a Report Card Generator?
A report card generator turns raw marks into a finished report card. It adds up the marks, works out the percentage, assigns a grade using the standard scale (A1 for 91% and above, down to E below 33%), and adds a short remark based on the overall result.
How to Use It — Step by Step
- Enter the student name, roll number and class.
- For each of the 5 subjects, enter the subject name, marks obtained and total marks.
- Press Generate Report Card. The total, percentage, grade and remark appear instantly.
- Press Print Report Card to print it or save it as a PDF.
Worked Example
Aarav Kumar, Roll No. 12, Class 5 scores English 78, Mathematics 85, Science 72, Social Science 80 and Hindi 76 — each out of 100. Total = 391 out of 500, percentage = (391 ÷ 500) × 100 = 78.2%, overall grade B1 (Very Good), result Pass.
FAQs
How is the grade decided?
Grades follow the standard scale: A1 for 91% and above, A2 for 81–90%, B1 for 71–80%, B2 for 61–70%, C1 for 51–60%, C2 for 41–50%, D for 33–40%, and E below 33%.
What if a subject has different total marks?
That is fine. Enter each subject’s own total marks — the percentage is worked out per subject, and the overall percentage uses the combined totals.
Can I use this for fewer than 5 subjects?
This generator is made for exactly 5 subjects, which covers the usual school report card. If a student takes a different number of subjects, enter the 5 main subjects here and work out the rest separately.
