What Is the Stream Selector Quiz?

After Class 10, students usually choose one of three streams — Science, Commerce or Arts. This quiz asks 6 simple questions about what you enjoy: maths, science, writing, business, art and practical work. It adds up your answers and suggests the stream that best matches your interests.

How to Use It — Step by Step

  1. Read each question and pick the answer that feels most like you. There are no right or wrong answers.
  2. Answer all 6 questions.
  3. Press See My Suggested Stream. Your scores for Science, Commerce and Arts appear instantly and are also checked on the server.
  4. Read the explanation for your suggested stream, then discuss it with your teachers and parents.

Worked Example

A student who loves maths and experiments, enjoys building things and prefers numbers to writing would score highest in Science — for example Science 9, Commerce 4, Arts 3. The quiz would suggest Science and explain the subjects and career paths it can lead to.

FAQs

Is the quiz result final?

No. It is only a guide based on your interests. Your marks, the subjects your school offers, and your own goals also matter. Always discuss the choice with teachers and parents.

What if two streams score the same?

The quiz shows all three scores, so you can see the tie. Either stream could suit you — read the notes for both and think about which subjects you would enjoy studying every day.

Can I change my stream later?

That depends on your school or board rules. Ask your school office about the rules for changing streams before you decide.
