Teacher Salary Calculator

Work out a teacher’s monthly gross salary, deductions and take-home (net) salary from basic pay, allowances, PF and tax.

What Is a Teacher Salary Calculator?

A teacher salary calculator adds up basic pay and allowances (HRA, DA and other allowances) to find the gross salary, then subtracts deductions such as PF and tax to find the net, or take-home, salary. It also shows the annual figures.

How to Use It — Step by Step

  1. Enter the basic pay per month.
  2. Enter the HRA % and DA % — both are calculated on the basic pay.
  3. Enter any other allowances per month.
  4. Enter the PF % (calculated on basic pay) and the monthly tax deduction.
  5. Press Calculate Salary. Your gross, deductions, net monthly and annual salary appear instantly and are also checked on the server.

Worked Example

Basic pay 40000, HRA 20% = 8000, DA 10% = 4000, other allowances 2000 — so gross salary = 40000 + 8000 + 4000 + 2000 = 54000. PF 12% of basic = 4800, tax 1000 — so total deductions = 5800. Net salary = 54000 − 5800 = 48200 per month, or 578400 per year.
